Broiler farming
Broiler chickens are bred for meat production. They are fed a high-protein diet to help them grow quickly. Broiler chickens are usually slaughtered at around 6-8 weeks of age.
Management of Poultry
The management of poultry involves providing them with proper food, water, shelter, and healthcare. It is also important to breed poultry selectively to improve their productivity.
Feeding: Poultry should be fed a balanced diet that is high in protein and calcium. The diet should also contain other essential nutrients, such as vitamins and minerals.
Watering: Poultry should have access to fresh clean water at all times.
Shelter: Poultry should be provided with shelter to protect them from the elements. The shelter should be well-ventilated and clean.
Healthcare: Poultry should be vaccinated against common diseases and regularly inspected for signs of illness.
Breeding: Poultry should be bred selectively to improve their productivity. This can be done by mating high-producing birds.
